2-3 Days ago , I got myself a pair of Exustar 333Ks . Tested them out at the carpark previously and had positive feelings about the shoes.

Exustar SM 333K Preview

Just got my Exustar SM 333k a few days ago from Conticomponents Boutique. Its the first time I am going to use SPDs in a year. I must say these shoes are REALLY light compared to my old Shimano SPD shoes. Weighing in at only 680g a pair.  ( for a carbon inject shoe)  On first feel yesterday night, the shoe is SIGNIFICANTLYthan my previous non carbon inject shoe.

Will be doing a comprehensive review of the shoe tomorrow. At the mean time, enjoy the pictures I have taken of my shoe ( before it gets destroyed )

Purebikes Glutton in action

Ran into one of our first customers using our PureBikes Glutton-SL today. Really glad to see him pleased with our product. Comments from Rahmat was that climbing was significantly better on the Glutton-SL in contrast with his previous bike. Good feeling seeing happy riders on the trail.

"After riding the Greed-SL for nearly three weeks, there are only three words to describe the ride: stiff, comfortable and just plain good-looking.

The stiffness is particularly evident when you are moving off from the line. the urgency of the bike to get into motion is also directly translates to a better climbing experience.

When I first rode the bike after setting it up, the comfort levels were unreal. Big bumps on the road feels smaller, and the smaller bumps were nearly non-existent. This also makes longer rides a pleasure.

Of course this is not the perfect frame. It is definitely not the lightest nor the most aerodynamic road frame you can get on the market. However, do not get me wrong, the weight of this frame is still phenomenal, the stiffness will make up for any loss against the wind. At this price range, it is very difficult to find a bike that offer this level of performance and comfort. In addition, the internal cabling and matt paint just made the ride look slicker and sicker."

Planning for TTOTCC

The Trail Open to Trail Close Challenge ( TTOTCC ) will be happening either 3 Dec or 8 Dec 2011. We will be planing an endurance event involving 10 hours straight of mountain biking madness followed by a pot luck where riders can finally meet each other in a non competitive environment. The planning consideration is still subject to change and we might even book the event ground so that this event can be an official However true to the nature, It is , and always will be Free of Charge.

Things to consider :
-Booking of event ground
-Official Apparel
-Potential Sponsors and requirements.
-Location of Potluck

What has been done so far:
-Design of jersey
-Planning of route
-Confirmation of organizing Committee

This event is the first of its kind, by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. Jerseys from RACESkins will be for sale to commemorate this event and the idea behind that Singaporean Mountain Bikers should have an annual gathering to share and learn.
