Exustar SM 333K The aftermath

Recap:
2-3 Days ago , I got myself a pair of Exustar 333Ks . Tested them out at the carpark previously and had positive feelings about the shoes.

Specifications :
Model : Exustar SM333K
Weight : 680g Per Pair
Features : Ratchet Lacing System , Leather cover, Carbon Inject Sole, Metal Toe Studs.

The Ride today :
Had the opportunity to try the shoes out for the first time on the trails today. I must say there was a Significant improvement from pedaling with normal running shoes. Climbs were more efficient and the downhills were much more confident ( both mentally and physically ) What really caught my attention about the shoe during the ride was how Stiff the shoe was in contrast to my previous Shimano SPD Shoes. the stiffness could be felt during the climbs where I could keep constant traction with the ground  even if it was on a steep uphill.

Feel of the shoe :
As a person born with a wide pair of feet, the Exustar shoes are not exactly made to fit my feet. BUT fortunately, I had the opportunity to try all the sizes in stock. As an advice, buy half a size larger. I would usually wear a 9.5 US for running shoes, but I opted for a US 10.0 for the Exustar 333K. This gave me NO problems with comfort which allowed me to cycle without concerns.

Off the bike :
A key aspect of any MTB shoe is the ability to run in the shoes when the need arises. As the Exustar 333k is the first pair of metal studded (on the toes ) shoes I have owned, I had apprehensions of how the studs will affect this. There was a marked improvement in traction which felt good off the bike.

Value for money:
For the price of $173 , I believe that this is the best value for money CARBON inject shoe available in the market. For the performance, my ONLY complaint of the shoe is the narrowness of the shoe but this can be EASILY rectified by getting half a size larger.

Overview :
Performance 4/5
Weight : 5/5
Comfort: 4/5
Additional Features : 4/5
Price: 5/5
